AFRICAN-AMERICAN & LATINO LEADERS GATHER FOR COMMUNITY FORUM
Allentown PA Monday, 4/14/08 - Lehigh Valley Citizens for Unity in Diversity will present a second installment leadership panel for communities of color, Monday, April 21, from 6:00pm to 9:30pm at Moravian College, in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Building, room 102. Moravian College is located at 1200 Main street Bethlehem Pa. 18018, phone number is 610-861-1300.
Guests Panelists include Pastor Benjamin T. Hailey, Sr., Pastor of Union Baptist Church in Allentown, Adewale Dosunmu, President and CEO of Mortgage Solutions in Allentown, Erlinda Aguiar, Co-Chair of the Policy Committee, Allentown School Board, Dr. Henry Odi, Executive Director of Academic Outreach and Special Projects at Lehigh University in Bethlehem. Others include Sharon Brown, Pastor David Jones, Dr. Sharon Levy, Lahoza Lissette, Jose Rosado and other distinguished panelists. The panel topic will be “Diversity, Unity and Bridge building as a path to success for Lehigh Valley people of color.”
Forum Coordinator, Ngozi Bell believes that the current political climate is an ideal time for this type of community forum to take place, stating that, “our diversity is a source of strength that should be leveraged and used to foster unity.“ Bell is also a volunteer representative of the Lehigh Valley Obama offices.
Lehigh Valley Citizens for Unity in Diversity is a group of concerned citizens from the Lehigh Valley that are uniting together to address issues of a social and political nature to strengthen and unite people of color. The primary goal of the group is to be a catalyst of empowerment and support to people of color and the broader community.
